Quartz Clock Movement vs. A Cell Phone Clock - Which is more accurate

 

Which is more accurate, a quartz clock or a cell phone.  

   

A smartphone is periodically updated from the service providers NNTP servers, while a stand- alone quartz movement has no means of resetting itself to correct time.  The cheapest movements may drift some number of seconds per day, while others may only be seconds per month.  They both keep the same accuracy but because the cell phone is capable of resetting itself to highly accurate time keepers, it provides the most accurate time.
